Undergraduate: B.S., Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics, University of California in Los Angeles
Allison comes to us from Sacramento, California. As an undergraduate, she was a lead reporter for the Daily Bruin. As a medical student, she co-founded the group “Subtle Asian Diabetics” geared towards the Asian experience of living with Type 1 Diabetes, spearheading multiple social medial campaigns to raise awareness. She also worked as co-director of Willow Clinic, a free clinic for the unhoused patients in downtown Sacramento and worked in STEM pipeline programs with high school and college students as the co-president of the Stockton Health Empowerment Conference. For her dedication to the community, she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Society. Allison enjoys bouldering, drawing, and painting when she’s outside of the hospital. She has an interest in primary care and working with uninsured communities and exploring the world of transition medicine. We are excited to have Allison join our Med-Peds community and seeing her work with medically underserved communities here in Miami.
