Casey comes to us from Afton, NY, with a long history of work dedicated to global health, medically underserved communities, and refugee health. Prior to medical school, Casey worked as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine for 2 years, living in north central Ukraine, engaging projects including HIV, advancing women in business and technology fields, and recycling program. He has worked on global health projects in Moldova, Kenya, and Nigeria, and has done research with the CDC. As a medical student, he served as a
service-learning leader with the refugee Health program. Casey was elected to AOA his junior year and served as chapter president. Casey enjoys regenerative agriculture, hiking/running, woodworking, and is a former college baseball player. Casey is excited about joining the UM/Jackson Med-Peds program to work with medically underserved communities, hopes to work in global health in the future.
