Graduate School: MSc Genomic Medicine, University of Miami
Undergraduate: B.S., Molecular and Cellular Biology, Johns Hopkins University
We are excited to have Daniel staying with us here from the University of Miami, originally coming from Miami Beach. As a medical student, he served as a leader in our Med-Peds Interest Group, serving as the outreach chair for the organization, as well as the President of the Genetics Interest Group. He is currently also getting his Masters in Genetics and is currently involved in a research project focused on whole genome sequencing data on patients with unusual clinical phenotypes. He has also been a leader here at UM, serving as Treasurer of the Class Council for all four years of medical school. He has been an active volunteer in our community, including volunteering at the DOCS Fairs, San Juan Bosco Clinic, and the COATS project. He sees medical education as a major component of his future career and is interested in a future as a generalist doing both primary care and hospital medicine. Outside of the hospital, Daniel enjoys baking and cooking, fitness, and raising plants. We are excited to see Daniel’s career unfold over the next four years here in Miami.
