Graduate School: MSc, Population Medicine, Brown University
Undergraduate: B.A. Developmental Students (Global health), Brown University
Pranav comes to us from San Jose, CA and Chicago, IL. Prior to medical school, Pranav spent a year as a Fulbright Scholar, conducting field work in India studying how people use faith healing over psychiatric care when managing mental illness. As a medical student at Brown, he was active in leading new initiatives, including establishing a new foot care clinic, hosting community health fairs, supporting the clinical plans for the homeless admitted for COVID-19 isolation, and developing a new the Social Medicine clinical elective. His current research is looking at health outcomes in heart failure and depression in Medicare populations after care team changes occur. His interests include cooking, music, sparring, and yoga. He is excited about starting his Med-Peds career and looks forward to a future working with vulnerable populations and building his leadership skills working with community partners. We are excited to see Pranav grow as a resident leader here at UM/Jackson Med-Peds!
