Stephanie Ross hails from the snowy Chicago suburbs where she's thrilled to swap boots for bathing suits in Miami. Prior to medical school, she spent two years in Tanzania for the Peace Corps teaching Biology and helping to establish a school library. She attended Rush Medical College where she facilitated the initiation of an EMR at a local homeless shelter in between studying and exploring the Tastes of Chicago. In addition to traveling whenever she has a free moment, she's worked as a quality improvement specialist, lent her hand to supporting single payer systems, and organized interschool social justice dinners. She's always believed that medicine is about more than memorizing facts. She hopes to foster an atmosphere of reciprocal support and humanism during her career. After residency, she has her sights set on pursuing an epidemiology fellowship through the CDC and working internationally. When's she's not googling where to visit next, she's biking everywhere and practicing her piecemeal Spanish.
