William’s hometown is Asheville, North Carolina. As a medical student, he has excelled as an educator, advocate, and a scholar. He was recognized as a clinician-educator, serving as a peer tutor for his fellow classmates. He was an active member of JeffHope, the student-run organization serving the unhoused in Philadelphia. He has been an active participant in multiple research projects, including work evaluating effects of low carbohydrate diets in children with Type I diabetes. He has an interest in medical education, medical research, and potentially a future specialist in either rheumatology or infectious diseases. We are excited to welcome William to Miami and see how his passions will grow over the next 4 years.
