In order for foster inter-class collaboration and mentorship, the program has been divided into five houses comprised of 1 resident from each PGY year.  In a friendly competition, the houses compete for points through activities in scholarship, mentorship, leadership, advocacy, community service, and professionalism in hopes of winning the coveted “Coco Cup”.  The Houses have evolved into clinical practice groups in our Med-Peds Clinic, providing coverage for follow-up visits and patient care when other team members are on vacation or on high acuity rotations such as intensive care units.
